Dalias at Friesians in Mystic
We spent the last 3 days at a small guest house in the south of Vermont, on the grounds of a Friesian horse farm. Friesians are incredibly versatile black coach horses. Not only do they pull coaches with style and panache but they can jump and do dressage. Here at Friesians of Majesty you can wake up in the morning and look out the window at the mares and foals playing in the fields, take a trail ride (I did) or just hang out with the horses. It is such a privilege to stay here with the LaBrie family…and so hard to leave.
I must admit I feel like I’m on another planet — everything is so different here from SoCal. The landscape, people, architecture, priorities — it will be a big adjustment getting back!
