Trail in Vermont
I love trees, all kinds of trees. Especially the kinds of trees I grew up with in St. Louis: elms, sycamores, maples. Yesterday I was lying under a very large and old schefflera tree at Glen Ivy Hot Springs (Happy Mother’s Day to me!). I reached up and touched some leaves and actually felt a connection, almost like the tree was responding to me. I’ve read the theory that everything alive is connected but I never actually felt it until yesterday. It’s going to be a life changing experience in some way. I can’t wait to see how it plays out!

An angel watches over us.
